Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
I was a gruelling 12 hour days sanding floors and tearing down wallpaper with the baby on my back and the others climbing inside the playpen. Ha! The whole thing was beginning to come together but it wasn't quite finished. The project would require a lot of money effort as well as my favourite brands of furniture furnishings for this house. In order to keep my budget in good shape, I went out with my three boys in search for bargains at estate sales. Our weekly routine consisted of walking from Thursday to Saturday through garage and estate sales to purchase a mix of old and new pieces as well as spending weekends painting and sanding the driveway. My first impression was like... this is when my desire to repair furniture started. Even though the house had been furnished, I could not put down. I had a space in the market at my local location and even sold some items there. I could outgrow my space because I owned numerous pieces I needed. There were open houses in my home that saw more than 1 000 visitors came through on one weekend, and purchase whatever they saw on the first floor. Growing Days is the result of this. When my business grew as did our family. Finding the balance was important to me. I wanted to be a mom and also a successful business owner. Growing Days seemed like the ideal combination. The year was 2013, and my lovely daughter Nora was born. She is our fourth child. I loved where my business was going, but I wanted to take a breather. I decided to take a break from making vintage furniture, and I slowed down my speed to be at home to take care of the kids. At the time, it was exactly what I needed. It was only after several months when the phones began to ring. Numerous people reached me for help about home improvement or decorating. A majority of them were people who visited my home in my open houses for furniture. I began to take on clients at a time working at my own pace but it didn't take long before I had numerous accounts and had a complete home renovation business. Most likely, I'd have laughed had somebody had informed me that my company was to become the premise of an upcoming TV show that airs on the DIY Network. It's true that I laugh when I think about it.
