Richard B. Cheney a prominent public servant and a businessman is vice-president of the United States. Cheney is a recognizable person in Washington for many years. George W. Bush was the fourth president to which he was a part of. Bush selected Cheney on July 20, 2000 to be his vice-presidential running partner, being impressed by Cheney's intelligence and judgement. Dick Cheney has served our country as chief of staff for a president. He was a member of Congress in United States Congress and also servedas secretary of the defense. He's a man of integrity and is respected by Republicans as well as Democrats. Cheney declared that his position within the Bush administration will be that of an open but discreet advisor. In accepting the Republican vice-presidential nomination Cheney stated that he looks at serving alongside an administration that will strive for the accomplishment of goals through working across the political aisle and working alongside political adversaries to achieve a mutual goals. Richard Bruce Cheney, son of Richard Herbert Cheney & Marjorie Lauraine Dickey was born on the 30th of January, 1941 at Lincoln Nebraska. At the age of 13, Richard Bruce moved with his parents in Casper (in the US state of Wyoming) where his father worked as the Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's land conservation districts.
